Jolly Joaquin

First we had Garth Brooks being Chris Gaines...
Then we had all the craziness Britney Spears went through...

And, at all times, we've had Mad-Onna pretending to be something she's not; going through all these phases and names herself (Veronica Electronica, Esther, Ciccone, Madge, whore... oops, let's not go there now! *LMAO* Makes me think of a song by one of her likely groupies/wannabees though... Take a guess...)

But anyway...!

Now... We have the Joaquin Circus act!

The Ting-Tings Video!

Is Joaquin Phoenix truly making a career switch here and going from thespian to troubadour?

I'll sooner believe that namesake Joaquim De Almeida will soon become a PSD candidate back in his native Portugal...!

Hmm... but who really cares, ultimately?

The few appearances JP's made so far in this "new role" of his (lest it is truly a new function) are oddly entertaining; and, personally, I am just happy that in this guise, Joaquin evokes MY LUMINOUS LOOK of old...!
(And, in his Letterman put-down attitude, and the pro-active one he displayed by confronting a heckler during his recent show on a Miami Beach nightclub stage, he effectively evokes my own LUMINOUS ATTITUDE too...!)
Heck - I like that!
He played Johnny Cash in that certain biopic to the hilt - and it obviously gave him the musical bug so, now, I want him to play ME!  It's gotten to that point, yeah! Heck, I sing the blues oftentimes: and he's definitely proven that he can do it too!
;-)

Joaquin, before the show -
and the rumble!
Next he should sing
"Trouble"
(the Elvis tune;
not Pink's! *lol*)

It's always been either one of the two Joaquims in the running, really: De Almeida was the top choice to play me but seeing as Phoenix has taken a turn to the lunatic fringe here, all of sudden, I don't know anymore...! He played an extremely convincing crazed Roman emperor too, in Gladiator and he's so darn convincing in this hairy role as well: he can play me!

River would be proud.

And is.

I am sure of it.

Lenny Thinks He's James Brown Now!!!

Lenny Kravitz : Love Revolution
Lenny Kravitz : Love Revolution

All of my life...
I've never seen
Somebody as full of himself
as this has-been!
He puts whatsisname
(Kanye West) to shame...
Even Ludacris
is not like this has-been!

Oops - this is the LUNACY blog, not its brother blog, ludicrous!
Sorry for the umpteenth mix-up!
:)

A Thousand And One spins... on the same theme,
as you can see... and hear!
(With the same lyrics, too!)

Lenny strips for the older ladies - one has but to ask...
(Emma Thompson apparently did.)

Lenny's the second best lover Lisa Bonet ever had -
distant second behind Drogo-Conan Jason Momoa!
(... who made Bonet a womentor/cougar, therefore!)

Lenny - best pal Dan Dyer ever had, too
(produced the latter's eponymous album...)

Easter Tune - En Français!

By Mister Toon (?) Mystère Toune (?!?) - Pierre Palmade and...

Nota Bene: she did do other films, but I'm drawing a blank - check out her site for a detailed filmography! Just click on her pics above! What am I here - the IMDB Man? Not - unless they pay me to be! Ohh, alright - some samples, below...)

Maybe this next song, with the expatriated pretty boy destined-to-be-a-huge-star but never quite became it, Roch Voisine, will be more convincing...?

Hmm.. Considering the fact that she seems to be straining to sing there - while she acts very well - and he is a singer with a repertoire that never lives up to any sort of expectations (and his lone foray into acting was as partner to Mannix - Mike Connors - on his swan song film...)
Well...
Tant pis!
Joyeuses Pâques quand même, tous les deux! Mais - Ne Venez Pas!
And don't bother coming either, Easter Bunny! ;)

Are there really 50 ways...?!?

What does Paul Simon say, anyway?
If you ask Carrie Fisher - not much at all, I'm sure! *LOL*

It is true that the wry "50 Ways To Leave Your Lover," taken from the album, provided Simon with his first US number 1 single as a soloist... But that doesn't make the song 100% factual! The conspicuous rhymes are suspiciously way too convenient for that to be the case... Just take a look at the lyrics, willya, for those of you with memory lapses and all...

"The problem is all inside your head", she said to me
The answer is easy if you take it logically
I'd like to help you in your struggle to be free
There must be fifty ways to leave your lover

She said it's really not my habit to intrude
Furthermore, I hope my meaning won't be lost or misconstrued
But I'll repeat myself at the risk of being crude
There must be fifty ways to leave your lover
Fifty ways to leave your lover

You just slip out the back, Jack
Make a new plan, Stan
You don't need to be coy, Roy
Just get yourself free
Hop on the bus, Gus
You don't need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, Lee
And get yourself free

Ooo slip out the back, Jack
Make a new plan, Stan
You don't need to be coy, Roy
Just listen to me
Hop on the bus, Gus
You don't need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, Lee
And get yourself free

She said it grieves me so to see you in such pain
I wish there was something I could do to make you smile again
I said I appreciate that and would you please explain
About the fifty ways

She said why don't we both just sleep on it tonight
And I believe in the morning you'll begin to see the light
And then she kissed me and I realized she probably was right
There must be fifty ways to leave your lover
Fifty ways to leave your lover

You just slip out the back, Jack
Make a new plan, Stan
You don't need to be coy, Roy
Just get yourself free
Hop on the bus, Gus
You don't need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, Lee
And get yourself free

Slip out the back, Jack
Make a new plan, Stan
You don't need to be coy, Roy
Just listen to me
Hop on the bus, Gus
You don't need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, Lee
And get yourself free

Right there - that is substancially less then 50 ways!
(Did *you* bother to count them - hmm? I sure as hell did not - but there cannot have been fifty in there - no way! LOL)
