The Green Day frontman was never this violent with the numerous critics - and his outfit sure has a lot of them - but, right in the middle of a concert recently, he sure was... with a fan! He actually jumped feet first into the crowd! That is supposed to encourage ticket sales? Like, "see Green Day perform live - get stomped on by Billie"?!? Allegedly, the concert-goer that was targeted -and marked- by Billie's Reeboks was either a heckler or a bully (picking on another fan)... However, such reckless behaviour (from such a tiny guy too) has got to be deemed... unsafe to say the least! He jumps into the crowd to rumble with a "m*****f*****" as he called him - security has difficulty intervening - in an uncontrolled environment, all of these fans could have taken it personal (the way he jumps feet first into a sea of people does not cry out "ONE single target" at all...!) and they could have stomped HIM for as long as they would have wanted to, and kept security at bay... MOBS are NOT PREDICTABLE, BILLIE! But he assumed (...) that they were all on HIS side, and that everyone around at least knew whose a$$ he was trying to dropkick...
Still, such behaviour was never seen from the wildest performers even! At least I never saw Mick or Ozzy or KISS or the wonderful Ramones or any other "bad boy image carrier" band's frontman or musician attack a fan this way during a live performance. Here, see it for yourselves:
Oh - and if you do know of any other similar instance when lunacy overwhelmed a rock star or any other performer and the fan took it on the chin (or in the groin area, whatever the case may be) - just let me know! There is more than one way to reach me... ;) Gee - and they said only hockey players reached into the stands to rough up some loudmouthed heckling ticket-buying jerk! I am proud to hardly ever supply revenue for ticket-selling riff-raff! :)
