Evil Elf writes to Naughty Nerd... And Pesky Police's on the case now!

This takes the Christmas cake!
In the entire spotless (?) history of the venerable service provided by Canada Post, there has never been a "sad case" like this...
A "rogue elf" (as a genuine Canada Post spokesperson referred to him) has been tampering with the mail received by Santa's celebrated shop (really nothing more than an extra "service" provided by Canada Post) and sending out very naughty replies...!
Police is supposed to help in nabbing the culprit (I suggest to look at any overworked, fed up, exploited-to-tears Canada Post faithful and devoted employee who has ZERO opportunities of advancement!)

Really, why even be surprised this happened?
I am more surprised it is the FIRST TIME it is THIS BAD...!
Up 'til now, a single harsh response from "Santa" was repertoriated; and all it did was label the naughty kid (obviously unworthy of any gift - let alone as many as he requested!) as "greedy".
Now, at last, the "rogue elf", whoever he or she is, has gotten closer to the sad truth in calling the brats such affectionate things as "you dumb s***!"
But here - see the evidence for yourself, as delineated in an article fresh off the newswires...
Since it is about such lunacy, NO JOURNALIST would sign it as his or her work!
I guess I'll post it here and not in the comments section then - I am covered by my famous Luminous Disclaimer anyway!

Police hunt for rogue Santa elf who sent kids filthy letters

Fri Dec 14, 3:50 PM

OTTAWA (AFP) - The post office and police in Canada are searching for a "rogue elf" believed responsible for mailing filthy letters to children on behalf of Santa Claus, officials said Friday.

A handful of reply letters to children who wrote to jolly Saint Nick contained comments such as, "This letter is too long, you dumb s***."

Canada Post spokeswoman Cindy Daoust told AFP: "We firmly believe there is just one rogue elf out there responsible for the letters. In our history, we've never had a problem of this nature."

She explained that the letters were part of a Santa letter-writing program in which postal workers across Canada reply to letters from children around the world posted to Santa Claus, the North Pole, Canada, postal code H0H0H0.

Every reply letter is identical, except for a hand-written personalized postscript added by one of 11,000 volunteers.

Last year, Canada Post replied to 1.06 million letters on behalf of Santa, and 15 million letters have been posted since the program began in 1981.

Canada Post president Moya Greene said in a statement, "We are shocked and heart-broken that this much-loved quarter-of-a-century old program has experienced an incident of this kind."

"We deeply apologize to any families affected by this," she added, noting that police were asked to help identify the culprit.

Thursday, Canada Post briefly shut down the program in Ottawa, after parents complained. A dozen inappropriate letters had been dropped in mailboxes throughout the capital city, but there could be more, officials warned.

Previously, Canada Post had received only one complaint about the program. In 1999, a seven-year-old in Oshawa, Ontario, received a Santa message from Canada Post that called him "one greedy little boy!"
