DENVER (AP) - A date with Esquire's "The Sexiest Woman Alive" and "7th Heaven" star Jessica Biel will be up for bid next week to help raise money for a teenager who lost her leg in a prom night limousine accident, Denver newspapers reported this week.
The event dubbed "Mollypalooza" to help Molly Bloom's family with medical expenses is scheduled for Tuesday at the Rock Island Club, organizers told The Denver Post and Rocky Mountain News. The News described the date as a lunch date.
In an audio message posted on the Internet, Biel urges listeners to support the event and she said: "I intend to submit a very special auction item as my contribution to the evening."
"Come on, it's Jessica Biel. What guy wouldn't want to win a date with her?" said Dmitri Lee Natali, 19, a friend and former classmate of Bloom, 18, who lost a leg in the May 13 accident. "My mom happened to be able to contact (Biel's) parents, and they had heard about Molly's tragedy. They said 'yeah, I bet she'll do that."'
Biel, a Boulder native who is on location filming the movie "Next," won't be at the fundraiser Tuesday, Biel said in her message.
Bloom was run over and dragged about 38 feet by a Hummer stretch limousine, police said. Limousine driver Stanley D. Sample, 38, faces a misdemeanor charge of careless driving resulting in serious bodily injury.
Bloom is undergoing rehabilitation at Denver Children's Hospital.

Ok - first things first; teenie-weenie wet-behind-the-ears babes in toyland have NO BUSINESS WHATSOEVER being in, around or even near a Hummer stretch limousine!
The prom is truly an over-rated moment in any teenie-weenie turd's life (granted, they're one up on the dropout turd, but still - it's NO GUARANTEE - as evidenced by this accident!)
Now, Jessica Biel - wow - what self-sacrifice... I'm sure.
Makes me think of the auctioned off liplock by Kate Moss...
Kind-hearted chicks desperately seeking free publicity - and not just any kind either but the kind that softens up the people's hearts - well, they will always have a soft spot on my blogs where I'll tenderly and vaguely mock their initiative...! ;)
Costs nothing, for me as for them - and the angel rep they gather is worth sooooo very much for a career in danger of stagnation... hmm?

DENVER (AP) - A date with Esquire's "The Sexiest Woman Alive" and "7th Heaven" star Jessica Biel raised $30,000 to help a teenager who lost her leg in a prom night limousine accident.
Denver media reported the winning bid Tuesday came from a man identified only as John. In all the event dubbed "Mollypalooza" raised $38,000 help Molly Bloom's family with medical expenses, organizers told the television stations and the Rocky Mountain News.
Bloom lost a leg and part of her pelvis in the May 13 accident and was undergoing rehabilitation at a Denver hospital.
"(Biel) has this opportunity to create a buzz that would provide some support and she's more than happy to do that," Jonathan Biel, Biel's father told KMGH-TV. He said it was his daughter's idea to hold the auction for a lunch date.
The young man in a dark, striped suit, with close-cropped hair who was wearing a white tie outbid another young man's bid of $23,500, the Rocky Mountain News reported.
"I'm a senior vice president for an oil and gas company in Denver," the News quoted him as saying after he was brought up to the stage.
Biel, a Boulder native who was on location in Italy, wasn't at the fundraiser Tuesday, but taped an audio message where she said: "I promise, I'm a cheap date." The lunch date will happen Aug. 18 when Biel is in town to receive a humanitarian award, organizers told the stations.
